The Background

MEEB was frustrated with their long-time IT provider. After spending time and money attempting to resolve an ongoing hardware problem with their Microsoft Exchange Server, they were no closer to having the problem fixed. The unstable Exchange Server was becoming a growing cause of frustration. Citara Systems was referred to MEEB by a mutual vendor and a meeting was arranged to discuss the current issue.

Using our STEP process, Citara discovered hardware issues with the Exchange Server. While pursuing a resolution to the problem, Citara also discovered the server was out of warranty. Rather than continue down the same unproductive path of the previous IT vendor, replacing part after part, Citara recommended the purchase of a new server with a 3-year onsite 24/7 warranty. We installed the new server into the existing Exchange Organization and migrated all mailboxes and public folders without incident.

The old server was retired and MEEB’s problem was solved—with no data loss or downtime.

The Challenge: The High Cost of Bad Onsite IT Support

After the successful completion of the Exchange Server project, MEEB was ready to consider Citara as their new IT provider. A main area of concern, however, was the constant on-site expenses associated with even the simplest tasks needed from their previous IT provider. MEEB was unsure whether outsourcing was a cost-effective solution to their problem.

The Solution: Low Cost of Remote Access and Reliable IT Support

Citara secured MEEB’s network infrastructure and enabled secure remote access into their environment for all of the day-to-day network administration needs that might arise.

The Result: MEEB Saved Time, Money and Headaches with Citara as their IT Department

Through secured remote access, Citara Systems has been able to provide consistent, timely outsourced network administration that has proven extremely valuable to MEEB—without requiring on-site visits that result in travel-related expenses for simple, as well as complex. tasks.
